Continental Tire Quarterly Update



Phase 1
• Tire Plant Development Announced in February 2016
• Groundbreaking held in November 2016
• 700 acres cleared before construction • Construction began March 2018
• Tire production is set to begin early 2020
• Plant will produce large truck and bus commercial vehicle tires for the U.S. market
• 2,000+ trees and 32,000 samplings planted

o Maintenance Technician Program awarded scholarships and a nine, week paid internship at the Mt. Vernon plant to eight (8) Hinds Community College students. Seven (7) are now working full-time for Continental. o Global HR Graduate Program: Trainee Marnise Webb (Graduate of Tougaloo College and Mississippi College School of Law) was selected for the two-year program that includes assignments in Mississippi, South Carolina, Germany and Portugal before working in Clinton full-time.
